Rentals
The Fullerton Civic Light Opera Co. has been in business for 35 years and is a major supplier of theatrical costumes and scenery in the United States. We currently have costumes for over 40 Broadway musicals and 23 theatrical sets plus 300 backdrops and thousands of various props. We are a professional company and a member of the prestigious National Alliance for Musical Theatre Producers. Originally designed and built for our productions, our costumes and scenery have won many drama critic awards. To ensure availability of items to be rented, reservations must be made as far in advance as possible.
A security deposit is required. This deposit is to secure your rental dates and to cover any damage to rented items. The deposit will be refunded after returned items are inspected.
The customer is liable for damages other than normal wear to the rented item(s)
up to and including the value of the item(s). Lost items will be charged at full value. When items are returned by a common carrier, they must be insured for replacement amount, listing Fullerton Civic Light Opera Co. as additional insured and loss payee on your policy.
All individual items are shipped prepaid or collect freight from Fullerton, CA by way of air or over the road freight. Complete sets are shipped via truck and trailer. Shipments returning to Fullerton Civic Light Opera Co. must be prepaid.
Extreme care while unloading and loading scenery from the truck and tying drops to the fly baton and inserting the bottom pipe into the drop pipe pocket will prevent unnecessary damage. Any damaged items, rips, tears or punctures will be repaired at a charge of $35 per hour. Under no condition is the customer to alter item(s) in any manner without expressed permission from Fullerton Civic Light Opera Co.
Costume Handling and Care
A cleaning fee and shipping charges are in addition to the rental. Under no condition can the costumes be permanently altered or cut without expressed written permission from Fullerton Civic Light Opera Co. Any alterations must be sewn with large removable stitches. Safety pins are not permitted for any alterations. Damaged costumes or accessories will be repaired at a charge of $35 per hour up to the full replacement cost. A detailed plot and sizing is provided with a signed contract.
Any cancelled reservation may result in the forfeiture of the customer deposit.
